Similar to the discovery of the
antibiotic Penicillin, anti-wrinkle injections are derived from a
purified protein found in bacteria containing clostridium botulinium
toxin type A. There are several types, Type A is the only form

In experienced hands, this product is very safe and the procedure for each
area takes about 2-3 minutes. Dr Louisa will explain to you the number
of units used and how many injections will be required to achieve the
desired results.
Dr Louisa uses very fine syringes
and needles. They are similar to the ones used by insulin-dependent
diabetic patients. Often, clients will not experience the introduction
of the needle to the skin. It is almost always the volume of product creating the expanding "pressure" effect, causing some discomfort.
Dr Louisa uses small ice cube blocks on the treatment areas prior to injections.
The cooling of the skin creates a transient reduction of sensation to minimize discomfort.
Discomfort may last up to 10 minutes. Often, the swelling and discomfort will disappear by the time client returns home.
The treatment will not work
immediately. On average, clients will notice the effect starting to
take place around 5-7 days later. In some occasions, it may take up to
10-14 days.
The first treatment usually lasts up
to 2.5 to 3 months. Subsequently, the treatment may last up to 3-4
months. The longevity of the treatment really depends on the client's
metabolism and other factors.
