 WHAT IS A CHEMICAL PEEL?
Chemical peel is the direct application of an acidic solution on the surface of the skin such as face, neck or top surface of your hands. Depending on your skin type and the type of the peel, some clients may experience some degree of skin redness or peeling. These are common and normal part of the treatment and results may vary depending on the individual.
There are different types of peel and they vary in the strength and concentration. Some of the companies make their own type of peels such as Obagi system, Jessner's solution or the Blue peel. Chemical peels work by removing the top layer of skin composed of dead cells. Therefore, this promotes new regeneration of younger looking and smoother skin. Chemical peels are great of general skin maintenance for conditions such as acne, fine lines, pigmentations or deeper wrinkles.
Generally, the stronger the peel, the better it works but the LONGER the DOWN TIME.
Dr Louisa offers superficial chemical peels with no downtime. Clients can go straight back to work without any redness or peeling. This peel is great for maintenance of healthy skin, acne and very fine lines.
