Superficial Chemical Peels

Please note that the following does not replace advice given to you by a medical professional during a consultation.
If you have queries, please use the online form.

Q: Why do I get pimples after each peel?

A: This is one of the reasons of having chemical peels.  The peel removes the very top layer of the dead skin.  This promotes regeneration of new and smoother skin cells and thus giving you the "GLOW".  The good thing about a peel is that it's deep cleansing, it opens up the pores and allows stubborn pimples to mature and heal naturally.

Please refrain from squeezing the pimples as it may cause scarring.

Q: Do I need to apply anything afterward?

A: It's recommended that you use a Vitamin A, C, E serum to promote healing and soothing of the skin.  PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE remember to put sun screen even in winter.  Your skin will become very sensitive to any UV rays and therefore may lead to photosensitivity.

Q: How often should I get a peel?

A: Depending on the strength of the peel, generally once a month.  This depends on your skin type and what other skin products you are using as well.  Generally, if you look after your skin, your skin will love you.
