Post Anti Wrinkle Injection Home Care Plan
What
to expect:
- Swelling
(mosquito bites sized) around the injection sites
- Redness
- Mild
Bruising (unlikely event)
- Mild
Itch
- No
effect immediately but will take up to 5-7 days to notice any changes. Up to ten days for full effect to take place.
- Headache
Other
rare significant side effects:

poor or failed results

puffiness around eyes

drooping of corners of eyes if injections placed inappropriately
These
will generally improve over 2- 4 weeks but can improve quicker with appropriate
and prompt medical care. Please contact your cosmetic physician as soon as
possible.

Do:
1.
Exercise these treated facial muscles for quicker results.
2.
Drink plenty of water the day of treatment.
3.
Advise your cosmetic physician if you may be or trying to fall pregnant.
4.
Apply make up in the unlikely event of bruising. Pat or dry the area gently.
5.
For headaches, you may take panadol x2 of the 500mg
every 6 hours.
PLEASE DO
NOT:
- Do not
Perform strenuous exercises (eg
bike, gym, swim) within 24 hours of treatment. This
will render the treatment ineffective.
- Do not
rub or massage the area as this may cause spreading to involve the wrong
muscles causing asymmetry or drooping.
- Do not
take Aspirin/nurofen (anti-inflammatories)
medications 3 days prior to treatment. This
may increase the risk of bruising. If
you have experienced NO bruising after 24 hours, it is safe to take nurofen /
aspirin.
- Do not
have facial or massages within 24 hours of treatment.
- Do not
lie down up to 4 hours after treatment.
- Please
avoid alcohol up to 24 hours after treatment.
