Post Dermal Filler Injection Home Care Plan

 What to expect:

Certain degree of minor

  1. Swelling
  2. Bruising (occasionally may last up to two weeks)
  3. Redness
  4. Itchiness
  5. Tenderness

 Other rare but more severe side effects include: severe bruising and infection, these may prevent you from resuming normal duties.  Should you develop any unexpected symptoms, consult your cosmetic physician for prompt medical care.

Do

  1. Take Arnica (natural medicine) a day prior to procedure to reduce bruising.
  2. Rest and ICE the area immediately and a few hours after the procedure to reduce swelling.
  3. Drink plenty of water and dry the area gently as required.
  4. Elevate your head whilst sleeping i.e. 2-3 pillows overnight to reduce swelling.
  5. Contact your cosmetic physician within 24 hours should you develop small blisters or rash (especially after treatment of lips)

 PLEASE DO NOT

  1. DO NOT Exercise strenuously or expose to extreme temperatures especially 24 hours of treatment.
  2. DO NOT Drink alcohol as it increases likelihood of bruising.
  3. DO NOT Use products with AHA, BHA, retinoid gels or creams
  4. DO NOT Have facials or massages around facial area for up to FOUR days after treatment.
  5. AVOID Aspirin/Nurofen/FISH OIL/VIT E 3 days prior or after the treatment, unless otherwise instructed by your doctor for other medical conditions.
