Post Sclerotherapy/Spider Veins treatment Home Care Plan

 What to expect:

Certain minor degree of:

  1. Pain at injection sites (similar to post acupuncture or anti-wrinkle treatment)
  2. Redness
  3. Swelling

It is possible that spider veins can recur due to genetic predisposition.

Other rare but significant side effects include: scar formation and pigmentations (will resolve over 6-12 months).  Very rarely, thrombosis (blood clots) may develop in the deep vein system due to the use of compression bandages.  This may result in blood clots to the lungs and hospitalization.  Therefore, it is important to discuss all potential risks and benefits with your cosmetic doctor.

Should you develop any unexpected symptoms, consult your cosmetic physician for prompt medical care.
